I am Dominik Andrin Hummel. I spent five years working in environmental research at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL), most recently as a Technician Specialist. I hold a Master’s degree in Agricultural Science with a specialization in Animal Science and am now a Fulbright Scholar pursuing an M.S. in Ecology at Colorado State University, based in the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology.
I want to build a career where conservation science and human realities meet as equals. Lasting conservation has to make room for both ecological needs and the people who live in those landscapes. I want to work on conservation that is shaped together through science, local knowledge, and the people who ultimately make change possible.
