The Bernese Glaciers

Photography has long been part of my life. During my Master’s studies at ETH Zurich, an analog photography course introduced me to film photography, a medium that continues to shape my way of seeing. Its physical process, technical demands, and reliability in the field stand in contrast to purely digital workflows.

Among various photographic projects, The Bernese Glaciers is of particular importance. As an alpinist, I observe the rapid retreat of alpine glaciers at close range. Using analog photography, I seek to record these landscapes as they are today, at a moment of rapid change.
